Mentioned as a rumor the past few days, the arrival of a Eee Box not equipped with a processor Atom but a Celeron has been confirmed by Asus. According to the data sheet, the Eee Box B203 therefore have a Celeron C220, doubled couple 945GC + ICH7, and carry from 512 to 1 GB of RAM and a hard drive 80, 120 or 160 Gp . 802.11n WiFi card reader and multi-format memory will always be in the program, like the Windows XP operating system.

Clocked at 1.20 GHz, the Celeron C220 should offer performance comparable to those of an Atom N270, despite the 1.6 GHz displayed by the latter. Aware that Eee Box equipped with an Atom, 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB of hard drive currently trades at around 240 euros, Asus could with what nettop equipped with Celeron reach down below psychological 200 euros. The final price has not yet been revealed.
