Google Chrome OS could appear next week 2009-11-14
Much speculation has led to the new operating system from Google, Chrome OS, mainly because Google has not given many details about it, but it is possible that next week is to release a preliminary version, showing the work that they performed.
According to the website TechCrunch, know for a fact that Chrome OS appears next week, and not only that, they will available for download.
The system would be released as a demo, finally ended the speculation as Chrome OS, as they have circulated online a good amount of images showing the possible appearance of the Google system.
Last month, Chinese site stated that the first Netbooks with this system were to appear in mid-October, first foray into the Chinese market.
However, the event has not occurred, and in fact is more likely to be publicized to the preliminary version, to be distributed the first Netbooks to Google's system.
Chrome OS will be aimed, initially, in the cloud, ie in providing services and applications running over the Internet. Thus your browser, Chrome, will be the center of the system.
Netbooks will use the system to start its journey, a market where Linux has found a way of intruding on the desktop, started to step on the field strength of Microsoft.
Since Chrome is based on Linux OS, will also take the ARM architecture, with low-cost equipment. For its part Microsoft has dismissed the possibility of porting Windows to ARM, and even has cast doubt that Linux will be successful in this architecture, including Android, thinking at the time that this would be the operating system from Google. According to the experience they had with Windows Vista will make it clear that users want a system that works because Android still would lack the maturity to meet end user needs. The question now is whether they think the same of Chrome OS.
Next week we may have available the first test version of the new system, knowing in greater detail the approach that Google wants to add to your new product, as expected, and as speculated.
